Shipping and Delivery

Shipping and Delivery

We personally deliver plants throughout the Sunshine Coast using our Home Delivery service and ship via Australia Post to most other Australian addresses.

Our postage areas include delivery throughout the states of QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC and SA.

Of course, if you live locally, or fancy a drive to the beautiful Sunshine Coast, you are welcome to click and collect your order directly from our Bli Bli nursery during our opening hours of Friday 10am – 2pm and Sunday 8am – 12pm.

How much does postage cost?

Postage prices vary depending on the size and quantity of the plants you select.

For accurate postage pricing, simply add your chosen plants to your online shopping cart, then proceed to the check out. Once there, enter your delivery address and the postage will be automatically calculated for you.

Which varieties can I receive via post?

We can post most plants, although some larger trees can only be ordered and collected from the nursery. They will not be available on the website to purchase for shipping.

NB. Citrus trees cannot be posted outside of QLD.

If you are seeking a variety and pot size from our website that is not included as a postage option you are welcome to reach out to us as we may be able to assist hello@fruittreecottage.com.au

What about the taller varieties?

If your plants are too tall to fit into our postage boxes, they will have their tops trimmed for transit.

The good news is that this pre-postage haircut will help the plant to form new buds and ultimately be good for growth as it becomes established in your garden.

When will my plants arrive?

We pack and ship orders via Australia Post on Mondays to limit the chance your plants might spend their weekend languishing at a postal depot.

Once the order is despatched, delivery generally takes between 3–7 business days, although this timeframe may vary slightly, depending on your location. Once your order has been posted, the exact delivery times will be under the control of Australia Post.

How should I care for my new plants?

Your plants will need a little extra love and care after their long journey.

Here is a complete guide to looking after your new fruit trees and edible plants.

What if my plants are damaged in transit?

Your plants will always be packed with care to help ensure they stay safe in the post and damage is unusual. But we do understand that things can sometimes go wrong.

If you have any concerns about the condition of your plants upon arrival, within 24 hours of receipt please send us a minimum of 4 photos showing the entire plant and closeups of leaves and areas of damage.

We will then be in touch to let you know if there’s a simple solution (for instance, the plant is simply a bit thirsty and will perk up after a good drink).

If irreparable damage has occurred, we will replace the plant or refund the purchase price within 14 days.

What if my plants die or don’t grow as expected?

Outside of damage during transit (reported within the first 24 hours), we unfortunately cannot accept any responsibility for the ongoing care and performance of any plants you have purchased.

This includes any plants that have been improperly planted or watered, or which are simply ill-suited to the climate in your region. We ensure our plants are healthy and well-cared-for upon leaving our nursery - but the rest is up to you!

We are always happy to answer questions prior to purchase about the kinds of plants best suited to your garden and climate, so if you are unsure about anything, please reach out.

Can I leave feedback on my purchase experience?

Yes, of course! We value and appreciate any feedback you wish to provide, as it helps us improve our services. Here is a feedback form for you to complete.
