The Sunshine Blue Blueberry is a semi-dwarf variety very worthwhile considering adding to your garden. It produces medium sized fruit and is not only very productive but also attractive with stunning bright pink flowers!
It's a low-chill blueberry, and grows well in South East Queensland's sub-tropical climate. Although it grows best in full sun, it will still fruit when planted in a partly shaded position.
The Sunshine Blue Blueberry is self-fertile so will produce fruit on its own, however, it will provide even greater harvests if another blueberry bush is also grown nearby as this will assist with cross-pollination.
It's an ideal choice for the novice gardener and for those wishing to grow their fruit trees in pots. Blueberries make a good choice for those keen to involve their children in gardening as they provide fruit quickly and they are a hardy plant.
Regular watering is required.
