The Pico mango is a traditional heirloom variety from the Philippines with an intensely sweet flavour.

It’s widely grown in backyard orchards and valued for its distinctive compact oval fruit that is much smaller than commercial export types. The Pico mango is ideal for fresh, snack-sized eating straight from the tree.

The flesh is smooth and low-fibre when fully tree-ripened, with a rich honeyed sweetness and a strong tropical aroma that becomes noticeable even before cutting. Unlike large modern export cultivars, Pico retains its old-world charm as a heritage orchard mango, prized for flavour rather than size or appearance.

The tree is a reliable grower in tropical and warm subtropical climates, typically producing consistent crops once established. Its combination of compact fruit size, fragrant sweetness, and traditional Filipino heritage makes Pico an excellent choice for growers seeking a unique, highly flavoursome mango for the home garden.
