Kaffir Limes - also known as Makrut Limes - are one of the most versatile and attractive trees you can have in your garden with their dark green glossy leaves and wrinkled green fruit.
They make a wonderful gift - maybe as a housewarming present or as a special gift for someone that loves to cook?
When chopped finely, the aromatic leaves can be used in many South-East Asian dishes, including curries and soups. The leaves can be picked and then frozen so that you can use them year-round. The zest is also wonderful to use when baking sweet treats. Kaffir Limes can be grown in the ground or pots.
