Suruga Persimmon Tree (Diospyros kaki ‘Suruga’) is a premium Japanese persimmon variety prized for producing large, attractive fruit with exceptionally sweet, rich flavour and very low astringency when fully ripe. Suruga persimmons develop a deep orange colour and a deliciously crisp, juicy texture that makes them ideal for fresh eating.

This productive tree is well suited to home orchards, offering reliable crops and excellent fruit quality year after year. With its beautiful foliage, ornamental fruit display, and outstanding flavour, the Suruga Persimmon is a rewarding addition to any garden, providing both visual appeal and an abundant harvest.

Cut into slices or wedges it makes a delicious addition to a cheeseboard, diced into a fruit salad, in baking and preserves or as a special ingredient when making liqueurs and wines. When the fruit is dried it is often boxed and given as a special and unique.

Please contact us if you have any questions about buying this fruit tree.
