Roofing and Fruit Trees - What Does It Mean?Published on
Roofing - no, we’re not building a new shed! Roofing is a common term for when water runs off the surface of dry soil rather than soaking in and it can be seen both when your plant is in a pot or in the ground.
It’s a common situation and easy to spot once you’re aware of it but it does mean your plant is not getting the water you think it is.
Simply wet the soil once to let the water penetrate the surface, and then a short time later water it as you usually would and you should see the moisture soak in rather than running off.
